Personality: Sterling is a strange character. She is easily confused by machinery and the inner workings of objects; nearly all technology is beyond her. She enjoys inflicting pain and chaos on other people; however pain and chaos inflicted by other people is not to be stood for, especially when those affected are those who are close to her. She is very rude, burping and putting her feet on the table whenever and wherever she feels like it and insulting those she thinks needs a good insult. She is heavily driven by her goal of finding and destroying a certain pirate crew.
Physical Description: Sterling is tall and thin. She has a scar around the base of her neck from a severe rope burn she received from pirates as a child. She generally wears turtlenecks or bandages around her neck to hide the scar to keep people from making assumptions as to where she got it. She also wears round-framed glasses.
History: Sterling is originally from East Blue, but when she was small a band of pirates came and killed her family. They had tied a rope around her neck to keep her from trying to escape. Marines arrived before the pirates could kill her, but they all escaped punishment. A scar was left from severe rope burn she received from the incident. From that moment on she planned revenge on the pirates that had destroyed her family and her home. She trained with swords until she had mastered the use of two katana. She began bounty hunting to get money and to get information concerning the crew that had killed her family. Before long she had nearly wiped East Blue of pirates and she still had not found the pirates. A single rumor came to her when she was nineteen, however, that changed things. The pirates had been spotted on the Grand Line. She promptly made her way there, a desire for revenge and justice driving her. She has fared well on the Grand Line, capturing many pirates and turning them in for their bounties. She is still chasing rumors, however, unable to find the pirate crew she seeks.
Other: She has no living family and what few friends she had remained in the East Blue. Some abandoned her before she left for the Grand Line because they disapproved of her bounty hunter lifestyle.
