Personality: Sullen and withdrawn, Daevin is not a very talkative person. His persistent sarcasm and dark humor comes off as rude and horrific but, in actuality, he is quite a nice fellow who feeds off of being accepted by those around him, although he would rather die first than admit it. He has a soft spot, especially for animals.
Physical Description: Scars on chest and face from fights he got into in the past. Partially blind in one eye. Carries an amulet he received from his sister before she passed away.
History: Daevin grew up with his older sister and his mother on a small island in East Blue. His fierce curiosity for pirates begun at a young age. He would often sneak out into bars and onto ships to converse with the men, against his mother's orders. At the age of twelve, his decision to leave his family for a life on the sea didn't sit well with his mother. She disowned him, threw him out and told him never to return. It was only until his sister explained to him about their father leaving for piracy did he understand. Mentally, as he left, he told himself that he would not be like his dad and he would come back to visit, even if his mother didn't want him to.
It didn't take long for Daevin to learn that a life of piracy was not what he expected. He struggled to hold his ground but he was young and his enemies were ruthless. One day, while he lay beaten and bruised from a fight that had resulted in losing his only ship, Daevin realized how much he had failed in his quest and dreams. He had wanted to be the greatest pirate to roam the seven seas and had ended up as the biggest loser in the universe. He picked himself up, counted his losses and went home.
What he found at his home was no one. His sister, he was told, was killed by a thief and his mother passed away soon after, as if the loss of her family was too much of a burden for her heart.
Daevin left with shame and anger and pity and regret. Destination unknown, he returned into the terrifying seas.
