Des hopped around becoming light on his feet awaiting for his next sparring partner. A lowly man stepped into the square shaking. Des smiled and sparked up his hand using his Spark Spark fruit. The referee turned towards Des and pointed a finger at him. 'No using that Des, you know the rules!' Des smirked and his hands returned to normal. He cracked his knuckles and chuckled. The bell rung.

"Come on little man, whatcha got for me?"

The little recruit charged at Des and threw a wild punch but missed. Des laughed and smacked him in the back of the head knocking him off balance.

"Rule number one. Never get wild with your attacks, leads to low center gravity and lowers defenses. Come at me again and focus."

The recruit nodded and dashed at Des once more.

Bruise watched the battle carefully, glad that the referee had stopped Des from using his Devil fruit power. This recruit could easily get beat up thoroughly and it would be her job to fix him.

Nervous as she was at her first possibly solo healing, she was excited at the chance to help. She'd come to this island without the Marine's knowledge on a short leave, and somehow got roped into healing whoever the referee told her to.
